Project Description

The Brief

The business services employees in this large, global law firm were struggling to deal with the internal politics of the organisation, particularly relating to the fee earners – this was affecting productivity, decision making and morale. The fear was that talented team members would leave the organisation.

The Solution

Joanna Gaudoin ran a workshop so that employees understood how they might be perceived internally and work on key skills to improve their political intelligence and in dealing with resolving challenging situations. This involved in-depth work on individuals’ personal political challenges.

The Result

Improved the core skills of the team regarding how they relate to the rest of the firm. Considering perceptions and discussing behaviours is now a key part of the monthly business services team meeting, to maximise productivity and effectiveness.
